Cheap Luminox Men's Ultimate Navy SEAL Dive Watch #8102 Review
I work as a flight paramedic and bought it specifically for use in that role after looking only at other Luminox watches. I'm a big guy and wear a size 14 ring, but be advised...the 8102 is HEAVY and THICK and WIDE.
Once you get over that, it's comfortable and functional. The hands and numbers are easy to read, the face is crisp and well-arranged and I'm impressed with the clarity of the sapphire scratch-resistant crystal. The stainless case, band and clasp are well crafted and fit solidly on my wrist. The crown and function buttons are easy to access and utilize. The chrono and elapsed time functions are easy to activate and reset. The bezel moves easily but requires an appropriate amount of effort. The knurling of the stainless band links gives the watch an interesting appearance, yet doesn't exclude it from use as an everyday timepiece.
The watch has not gained or lost any time by my estimation so far.
The tritium luminous feature was one of the reasons I bought the watch: it works as promised but is not quite as bright as I thought it would be even in absolute darkness. The date window is small...my eyesight is excellent and I have to strain a little to see the date at times. Also, the battery life is listed as either 18 months or 36 months --- I guess we'll find out at one point or another.
This watch is an excellent buy if you compare listings and wait for a good price like I did. This timepiece is put together well, and so far has stood up to the abuse of my demanding work environment while looking good and functioning as promised. I look forward to years of service from my Luminox 8102.

Luminox Men's Ultimate Navy SEAL Dive Watch #8102 Overview
Be prepared to tackle any task with durable, stylish Luminox Ultimate Navy SEAL Dive Chronograph Watch for men, which features the vaunted Luminox self-powered illumination system. This watch's hands and dial markers glow 100 times brighter than other luminous watches and will provide continuous illumination for more than 25 years. The watch's three subdials track elapsed minutes, seconds, and tenths of a second. It is water resistant to 200 meters (20 ATM, 660 feet), which is suitable for recreational scuba diving.
The large-sized stainless steel watch case (measuring 1.75 inches wide and 0.5 inches deep) is topped by a ratcheting, unidirectional rotating bezel with engraved elapsed time markers and knurled textured accents for an improved grip. The black dial face is accented by easily readable Arabic numeral markers in white (with inset 24-hour marks), white baton hands (with seconds hand), and a date function at 3 o'clock. It's completed by a silver stainless steel bracelet band with knurled texturing and an extender for use over a wet suit. Other features include a 4-year battery life, highly scratch-resistant glass crystal with double anti-reflective coating, and multi-jeweled Swiss quartz watch movement. It's backed by a 1-year Luminox warranty.
Luminox Self-Powered Illumination System
Each Luminox watch employs tiny self-powered micro gas lights (borosilicate glass capsules), which are firmly embedded in the hands and the hour indicators on the watch face (as well as on the turning ring of diver's watches). Luminox watches need no external light source to "charge" the paint on the dial or hands in order to glow as do conventional luminous watches, nor do they require a push of a button to light the dial as do electro luminescent watches.
About Luminox
Luminox combines the finest tradition and precision of Swiss watchmaking with the durability demanded by US armed forces and the latest innovations in timepiece technology. The company pioneered the development of small, individual luminescent tracer lamps and was contacted by the U.S. Navy SEAL teams to build a dive watch for their use on night missions. After their popularity in the Navy grew, the Air Force asked Luminox to develop a watch specifically for F-117 Nighthawk Stealth pilots.
