Top Rated Dive Watches Site. Low Prices, Fast Shipping.
This is one of those watches that looks much better in person that in the pictures. The color is beautiful, it has a luster that is amazing. The bracelet is good too, just the right thickness and weight, with unbelievable shine. It has very good luminscence - you can read it all night long, which as good or better than my Seiko Men's Automatic 100M Diver Watch Model SKX031K2 - read my review there. You can also read my review for Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Stainless Steel Watch #6502 which isn't nearly as awesome as this watch. You can't go wrong with this watch!
Of the dozen or so Invictas in my collection, this is my favorite. Invicta's design team has distinguished itself with some great designs that are contemporary, while retaining classic lines. This Pro Diver Yachting Edition is a great example.
The size is perfect in this era of larger watches - it will look formidable on any wrist, but not overpower as some in the 50+mm range might.
The finish of the case and bracelet is equal to some of the most expensive watches on the market. The wave pattern of the guilloche face is reminiscent of Omega's Seamaster Pro.
The 10-minute countdown and 24-hour elapsed time racing timers and the 12-hour alarm are features that add greatly to the functionality of the watch.
For those who, like me, think this is a "must have," - and because Invicta does not provide any kind of instruction manual specific to this watch - go to the ISA site (at ISASWISS[dot]COM), click on "Technical Info" and scroll down to the ISASport category and click on the instruction manual for the calibre 8270 in whichever language you prefer. Everything you need to know about this movement is included in that manual. (NOTE: The 24-hour bezel Invicta includes is strictly cosmetic; there is no GMT function for this watch.)
Good luck and wear it in good health!
This is my first Stuhrling watch. Actually second. The first that was sent to me was defective. Amazon replaced it right away.
This is a big (bezel is over 42 mm) great looking watch. Long bracelet. I have a small wrist,so I had to adjust to minimum length, after removing 4 links. Nice magnification on date. Runs little slow. but no more than 3 seconds a week. I have a collection of "INVICTA"'s watches and this one stands up very well to them. Highly recommended. I give it 5*.
I have had this watch for about a year and a half, it has been in the atlantic, pacific, gulf, on mountains in alaska, the the arizona desert, and i've taken it caveing. I have never had any type of problem with it, there aren't even scratches on the face. I have had to replace the band a few times becaues I don't like the steel or rubber ones and the nylon one wears out. This is also the first watch i have ever gotten compliments on.
This was a gift for my husband. It really is a beautiful watch,
but, the face was way to large! We did have to return it for
a smaller one. For someone with a large wrist, it should be great!
Make sure you check the mm. before purchasing. The pics are hard to
tell if it will be to large for a wrist.
Amazing watch. I am a watch collector and usually change watches everyday. Sometimes, two or three times a day. I have had this watch for a week and can't seem to take it off. I find myself staring transfixed by the simple dial and bright, blue lined, super luminous hands and hour markers.
The best: White or silver toned dials on watches are nice but usually they are combined with hands that are silver edged making it very difficult to see the time. This has a beautiful blue edge to the hands (that depending on the light may look black) that contrast just right against the silver dial making it super easy to tell time in any and all conditions.
The luminescence is just incredibly bright and last all night.
The bezel is smooth, with no play at all and very easy to grasp. It has a highly visible, luminescent marker at the 12 o'clock position.
The clean, simple dial is simplicity at it's best. The day and date are easy to read and framed by the blue steel that frames hour markers and hands.
The case is not super heavy but does have heft to it and let's you know that you are wearing a stainless steel watch.
The bracelet is thick, strong and has no jingle or clinking sound to it when you move around. Very well made and also one of the easiest watches to size I have ever dealt with. You can make it fit perfectly with the micro adjustments.
This watch wears as is it had been made specifically for my wrist. At 42mm it sits perfectly on my 7.25 inch wrist with not a bit of tightness or wobble.
The second hand falls right on the hour markers. Many quartz watches don't do that and it may not be important to some but I like it when the second hand hits the markers instead of in between them.
The worst: There are no minute markers so if you like seeing what time it is to the minute, you are out of luck unless the hand is right on the hour markers. I would have liked minute markers between the hour markers. It would have added a little extra to the dial and still kept it simple and clean.
When all is said and done, this watch is one of my favorites. You can wear it from dressy to sporty occasions without being much of a fashion misfit and that helps too.
I wear mine everyday and find it to be a great watch. I did break a crystal in a bike accident after I landed on it when all 240 lbs of me was flung forward over the handlebars at 15 mph onto concrete... my arm and wrist were bent under my stomach and I landed smack on the watch... got it repaired for thru JCPenney... works just fine... as one might surmise I am hard on watches and I've yet to scratch the crystal in everyday use and believe me, I've scratched many another watch frequently... my watch has dropped to the floor like every month or so and its sturdy construction has held up without any problem. I wear mine 24/7 year-round and have not had any issues with its ruggedness... the first watch I can wear in the shower and washing dishes and everywhere... I also find that the lighted dial is superb when camping out, driving down the interstate, wherever... the only question I'd have is how the Seals get by with this in night ops... I'd think the light would give them away for a mile! My spouse occasionally complains that the light keeps her up at night so I have to make sure my left wrist is under the covers when she comes to bed... BTW, the strap is fantastic... I can't wear a lot of other ones because of my hairy arms and sensitive skin, but this band is awesome... most of the time I don't even know I have it on... though it does get taken off after about 6 hours of pretty continuous programming... all in all, if you just want a watch to keep time and be visible at all hours and everywhere, and to hold up under extreme conditions (like my wrist), then this is a great watch... it also looks pretty spiffy... I've rec'd many compliments on it...
I have been looking for an Invicta Grand Diver for some time and really wanted to get hold of the orange dial model, but wasn't able to. I spotted this one on Amazon and despite being a bit unsure about what looks like a purple dial on my monitor I bought it - was very pleased when it arrived to see that it is more blue than purple! The watch and case are just what I wanted, something big and solid, but at the same time plain and simple. The movement keeps pretty good time now it has settled down a bit and is only off by a few seconds over 24 hours.
The missing fifth star for me arises from the poor quality of the bracelet and clasp. For a case this size I feel Invicta should have used something bigger with a much better quality clasp, which gives absolutely no confidence and appears very thin and is nothing like the quality Seiko manage to achieve.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and the service to the UK from Amazon was excellent, but I would not be as happy had I paid anything like the receommended retail!
This is a great watch. Looks great and feels good. It is not too heavy, but a little heavier than my last one. You shouldn't have a problem with the reserve unless you don't wear it everyday. Mine usually lasts longer than 12 hours. Overall it's got great quality.
An excellent value. Saved half the cost by going through Amazon than in a retail jewelry store. The watch is everything that I expected. Easy to see time in the dark throughout the entire night.
This watch is the third Commander automatic I own. I have silvertone, blue and now Yellow. The winders work flawlessly, The watches are accurate to within 90 seconds a week! One is flawlwss in accuracy. I do not know how they make such a huge, quality watch for the money.!! They are my favorites and I get many compliments on them at work . Don't miss a chance to buy them at these discounts!!
